Income after filing...what do I do with it? New job after filing...

I tried and tried to search the postings to find an answer to this with no luck.

I filed a couple days before the Oct. 15th, 2005 deadline for the old laws. About 16 days later I finally got hired at where I still am working today. I am now making a decent living for a single/no dependant lifestyle. My 341 isn't until March 28th of this year and I'm curious if the Trustee will factor my new (but unexpected) employment after my filing. My financial status before filing was awful but its "ok" right now because I don't have the burden of paying $1500/mo in bills. I can actually pay my rent, car, and the "need-to-pay" bills on time with a couple bucks left to buy food. Should I be cashing my paychecks and keeping whatever is left (after bills) in a safe? I'm afraid to put the money in a bank account.

    OK,
At your 341 meeting the Trustee will ask you if your financial status has changed..... You will be mandated to tell him YES - and explain the new job.
Hopefully this will not force you into a Chapter 13.... but it MUST be disclosed.
Did you use an attorney or file pro se??
If you used attorney, you need to notify him and see what he suggests.

    Keep me posted.

      no attorney...

That would be awful if I have to change to Chap 13...my job might be moved to Texas in the next two months and I'm not going with them!

      Interesting though.

If questioned about your job, let it be known that your job may be transfering out of state, but you aren't.....
So any income you are receiving at the present time is temporary..... thus not allowing a lot of excess for Chapter 13.
