I work in the accounting department of a property management company. This office handles 25 properties. We normally have 2 accounts payable people-including me-and 3 property accountants. 2 weeks ago, the other a/p person worked her last day due to some serious health problems. She won't be back...
The end of the month is my busiest, because even though the properties are supposed to send their bills in each week - they don't. They tend to wait til the end of the month. SO-for the past 2 weeks, I've been TRYING to do the work of 2 people, and the load of work is at its heaviest right now. One of the accountants is giving me grief because I don't have everything in for the month. (A/P closes for February about a week before the month ends.) Hello! I'm one person and all of the invoices aren't even HERE yet. Of course I'm not done!
