I met Michael Tully & Damian Lahey, the director & the star of, "Cocaine Angel" at the Sarasota Film Festival Friday night! My job that night was to work the red carpet...let me tell you, it was a blast!
William H. Macy & Felicity Huffman arrived for their movie, On Our Own...late in a little Mercedes stuffed with four other people...I shook his hand! since all the fans had gone it...he was surrounded by little hoodlums asking who he was...
My movie didn't start until 10 so I went over to Applebee's and had a drink...met a rather unusual looking man who told me how he lost $250 to a friend in a crack deal...I had to start laughing...he was there to see the movie also and mentioned that everyone in Sarsasota seemed to be young & rich...yes, until they smoke dope...then it's downhill from there....lol but not!
Allison Janney & Jason Ritter came in as well as Joe Pantalioni (sp?) from the Sopranos...what a night...
I'm definitely going to volunteer again; it was certainly a treat for a bk person to get out of the house, meet good people, attend festive gatherings and see free movies!
