    Amid the hectic some blessings!

Our new family member "Sandy". His original name was Dirty but I changed it to Sandy, it keeps the sound similar for him, matches his coat but is more positive.
Princess (top) VERY JEALOUS, became very upset when I let Sandy join the "Father/Daughter" game of "boo" where I chase her around the house. Her reactions have been hilarious. They played in the back yard but she is extremely worried about her "place" and her dolls.

They seem to be getting along. A co-worker of my wife had to move in with in-laws, God Bless her and they did not allow the dog. He is fixed. He is very a very other pet friendly and calm dog. He is responding to normal commands and looks at me when i converse with him. I have never treated a dog like they are stupid and generally speak to my dogs normally. I did it with Princess since she was three weeks old and I think it helped her intelligence. He is two years old and seems very well trained and friendly. I don't want him near a pound or with some annoying little kids who will use him for a month and dump him, he is to nice and handsome an animal for that.

robivi...he is precious...they both are. I am a big time dog lover too. If I had $ and a monster house with lots of land I would empty the humane shelters. P.S. I like the name Sandy too!

She is getting him trained... she does not let him play with her dolls, you know those plushies that squeak. We got him some toys also... $111 bucks at petsmart mainly for supplies and they don't sell wicker dog baskets anymore... now i know this Country is messed up. Our daschund Cookie had her basket for 15 years, they are better than those zipper cover dog beds. I'll find some somewhere. He has had alot of attention it is evident and he has been very well cared for, he prefers my middle sons bed and that is fine. He barks loud, like a male, very GOOD thing and no incessant semi-retarded barking either thankfully and HE lets you know when it's time!!!! He understands some general commands which was a nice surprise.

              Amis,
hang in there, I know you are going through a tough time. I peek at the posts everyday. We are five people with a torn up house, one bathroom completely stripped out. and a refi closing delayed one month because of a CU Employee not knowing there job. The stucco man thinks I was BSing about starting. We expected the $$$ weeks ago and started all the work.

it seems like the loan issue will straighten out by Friday. I am at this point behind on bills because we spent our cash thinking that "approved" meant closing soon like before. We got one heck of a deal though from Eastern so it was worth haggling over. No closing cost, zero above prime. When i refinance the whole thing in June to get away from the ARM on the first I'll go with these folks if possible.

                Robivi,
She's gorgeous. Don't know what I'd do without my dog (see avatar.) Mine's the best--got her from the pound. 30 lbs of love.

We tried the pound here for a second but it is a rat race. The animals are very well cared for and the place is kept sparkling clean but it was a competetion so we gave up.

Princess is a car dog. She lays in her spot and love hours long rides. She will actually come, bang her paw on my knee and lead to the leash and thus the vehicle, I'll driver her around the block and she is fine, that is if she hasn't been for a ride in a day or two. He got sick yesterday and started drooling heavy today after 2 or 3 minutes so we brought him home. Anyone got any ideas on getting him to be able to take trips? It must be the constant motion.

anon, yours looks full or part beagle, very nice. This one is part Shepherd by the coat (sand and black), can't figure the rest though...

the hilarity is Princess' jealousy. Nothing brutal but a new amoeba has entered the food chain and she is very concerned with his every move. The way it is going they will get along, once she establishes the seniority roster in her mind. He seems to acknowledge his youthful status and obeys her when he goes to far, she will definitely rule the roost, though she is one third his weight.

She's a Snoopy dog. She's probably all beagle, but the vet says maybe a bit of basset hound (1/8 - 1/4) in her. She's a "sturdy" beagle. ;)

YEAH, I SEE ALL THE "COUCH POTATOES" AT YOUR HOUSE TOO............

I've never sit down on my couch.........NO ROOM!!!!!

Between morning naps and afternoon naps and TV time, "the girls" occupy the couch and love seat......... me I get a recliner and often its got one in it......... and I have to "move them out"............

We do love our babies, don't we???

Dog pound survivors are good dogs, so are ones that friends have to give up......... and a starving stray will love you forever..................

Minny, they are so cute!!! Our dogs are spoiled ROTTEN!! Our old dog was a stray where we used to work and the security guards thought she was too sweet to take to the pound. She has been a faithful companion for almost 13 years. She is a Daddy's girl bigtime!
