      jane,
My girls love their featherbed, feather pillows, and feather comfortor..... naw, their not spoiled.......... they just live better than me...............
Many times "minny" will leave the couch and head for the bed - cause its softer......
Minny is the brown/white one and Molly is the red bassett/beagle looking one....
We had a birthday party at my house over the weekend...... the girls love it......... they get to love on the men, play with the laser light all nite and stay up late and eat snacks... Minny lasted till 2:30 and Molly crashed at 3:45 am...... PARTY GIRLS...........

One of the girls from the office got tired and went and laid down on my feather bed and Minny snuggled up against her........ both loved it!!!!

During the winter, Molly keeps my feet warm and Minny warms my back.... LOL, better than an electric blanket..... less trouble than a man, lol.......

If there is such a thing as reincarnation, everybody wants to come back as a dog at my house....................

        Anonymuse,

Your baby looks just like "Tilly" across the street from me..........identical.....
Tilly is a lot older probably, around 10-12 years old. One of the sweetest little beagles I've ever seen................. excellent breed of dogs.......
She visits everyones house in the neighborhood and greets everybody when they pull in the driveway..............cute as a button........... and a little on the chunky side from visiting neighbors............

Snoopy has gone from very tubby to chunky. She almost weighed 40 lbs when I rescued her and she's about 10 years old. The previous owners fed her too much table scraps, gave her pancreatitis--but it's strictly dog food now. (Although, she does like carrots, brocolli, cucumbers, and ice cubes.) Have had her down to 30 lb before but we need to work on that again (she's about 33 lb).

She wound up at the humane society three times and then the owners didn't even call back the final time she was picked up. (They probably knew that after 3 times there, their not allowed to have the dog back, but they didn't even return the call from the humane society when she was picked up the last time.)

          Here's a picture of her:

anoy...what a wonderful person you are to rescue that precious dog...It is so easy to give our pooches table scraps but it isnt the smart thing to do for reasons you already cited. We have had to limit our rat terrier's food too because she needs to weigh 22-23 and she weighs 26 lbs. Some people think a morsel of bread or a small piece of meat is no big deal but it is. Pancreatitus is dangerous and can be fatal. And there is a special place down under for his previous owners.

              anonymuse,
YEP, JUST LIKE "TILLY"..... only she's got a lot of gray around the mouth..... must be older than I think..... I'll try to get a pic of her if I can..... she'll meet me when I get out of the car when I get home looking for a "Tilly bone"..... They look like they might weigh about the same too.......

Tilly just might think she had some offspring if she seen Snoopy........

I think the people over at nolo.com know bk filers hold our dogs in the highest regard.

Look at the cover of the upcoming BK 7 book:

Talking about theraputic, "Crunch Clayton" was rescued from the shelter. She was with a foster mom; she no longer could care for her due to illness. Talking about being very spoil. Have had her for two years and the kids love her. I wouldn't trade her for anything. "Amid the hectic some blessings" is most definitely a true statement.

                    Anonymuse,
Yep, guess they realize what some of the important things in life are huh!!!
                    LOVE IT.................

                    Klayton74,

NOW THAT'S A BEAUTIFULL BABY............. I love the little dogs, but all my dogs have been big ones usually.....

Animals are like people, they are ALL SPECIAL AND BEAUTIFUL in their own ways.....

My dogs live better than a lot of kids do.... Shame....

Society will not let most single people adopt kids.... you must meet certain criteria, make so much financially, etc...... I often think that they really don't want kids adopted and to have a home. I think they prefer them to stay in an orphanage......so the state gets paid for their care. Shame......

Four days and Sandy is adjusting well. He turned out to be one and a half years old. He is very smart and well house broken. Gets car sick though, gotta get him through that. Wife loves him, we gave him a good shower, no problem and he has cleaned up beautifully. Princess is getting used to him but has made it clear that she is in charge and can eat from his bowl and drink from his dish and lets him know when he is playing to rough. He is a "goofball" though, clumsy and funny as can be, trips over himself, sloppy eater, typical male dog.

Mine is having issues with me at the moment.

I have a doggie door in my screen door. However, it's 90 deg out! So I don't want to keep the real door open. Instead, I took this insulation stuff (looks like it has alumnimum foil on both sides), and put that on the screen door except for her door opening. The real door is open only about a foot wide. She keeps whining to be let out since she's scared to through it. I, on the other hand, keep throwing cookies out there so sooner or later, she will catch on.

Someday when all this BK stuff is over, I'm getting this dog a true doggie door that will allow her in and out all day.

My other blessing today--I may have found a vanpool (actually 2) close to me (as in walking distance from my house) AND my employer will pay for it. Right now my commute takes about 3 hours roundtrip (1/2 hour drive to bus stop and hour ride on bus and walk to work). I could get back an hour of my day and save about $150 (at least) in gas a month and avoid the stress of not driving. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Will do, still waiting for my closing, so we are running a trifle tight this month but gotta get him to the vet this week somehow. Right now I have the last 3 grand to pay on my truck, that will be a relief! Down from 30 grand nearly five years ago. Then 58 payments to go on the van!!!!

I hope we are spared Hurricanes for many years, I took operating money to do repairs, depleted all reserves thinking closing would be hitchless! hahahahahahahahahaha! Incompetence of my CU and the Title folks is staggering.

Where is Lightning to make some stupid, inane comment like "if you had adequate insurance you should be covered". That would complete the circle of stupidity so well!
