    Hi everyone -

I am so thankful for the site Its has been so helpful

I called an online place that I found I was wondering if anyone dealt with them before they are called Price law Group. They seem very professional and very educational ... any bad things with doing online things rather than doing it in person ? I dont want to pay for the attorney if my case gets dismissed Kwim ? Thanks again for your help

Be very carefull, some of the online things are scams.............

If you are filing pro se you can find many of the forms you need, fill them out and then let a paralegal look at them for you...... They cannot fill them out, or offer advice, but they can tell you if they are done correctly or not.... (and they are cheap)....

Why would you think your case would be dismissed??

Here's the Price Law Group website - - somewhat flashy and graphics-heavy but after all they are practicing in California ;) . Information provided from the links on the website is more the "rah-rah, we are your bk saviors" type than anything actually helpful.

I did some online searches looking for any known problems with the group - didn't come up with any, but of course that doesn't mean they are sterling. If you decide to meet with them, during the first meeting you could ask them for several former clients you can contact locally. Also you can check your local Better Business Bureau to see if Price Law Group has complaints filed against them.

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

They sound like a BK Mill Law Firm.

If you have a straight forward case, no wrinkles or oddities, then you should be fine with them.

If you're below the Median, your assets don't exceed your exemptions, and you have children for dependents or it's just you or you and spouse, you'll probably do fine with a BK Mill attny. They process lots of cases and easy ones are their specialty.

If you have tough issues, you're close to or above the Median, you have some less than ideal issues, then you're gonna want to look for an attny that files fewer cases, but has more extensive experience.

It's kinda hard to explain, but as you learn more, you'll understand what I mean.

Bankrutpcy is the most scary, stressfull, process you will go thru in a long time..... There's so many things that you don't understand, certain processes that have to take place, and your at the mercy of the Court and Trustee during the whole process..... "they literally hold you life in their hands" during the whole time.

Have a consultation with at least 3 attorneys, ask questions, and then choose an attorney based on how comfortable you feel and the communcations you have with them....

Find out what options are available to you - Chapt 7 or Chapt 13 and discuss all the details involved with each kind with the attorney. If they don't want to discuss it, find another attorney.

Welcome to our family, we are here to help..........
