A couple of days ago I took them all out and found that I had three boys and a girl. Well, today the little girl, Kaya, decided to escape from the cage and fall the four feet to the floor. My cat got a hold of her and hurt her too badly. She just died. I'm so sad and feel that I should have "baby-proofed" the cage better.

Things "happen" that are out of our control and could have happened whether we were there or not.....
I had to remove all my bird feeders because my one beagle wanted to "catch them on the fly" and bring them too me......Minny

SURE Herman would die on my watch! When he didn't move for two days, I dumped a half glass of water on him and was very relieved to see him climbing around. Her hamster died last year right after she went to college and left it in the care of my niece, so I was afraid this critter would bite the dust, too.
