    Florida Insurance

Well Min and Amis, sorry to post on this again! I just went to the agency, renewed on my Townhome, $2675.00 for this year. I was told that i was very fortunate. You see, if you can't find coverage you are placed with the state run Citizens. Fefderated was granted an 80% incrrease not to leave the State.
One month ago they agreed to write policies with my agent and then sent out a letter saying that they would not write Policies during hurricane season, THANK GOD. You see, if you can get a private policy, you have to, no choice. The cost would have been 6400.00 per year with them. He told me not to count on it for next year. I'll be saying g'day to a 24 year 30 dollar an hour job, going to TN for likely less than half and being 650 times more content. i'm doin' it MIn.I don't care if I live in a tiny home there, I would rather sweep floors in Heaven than to rule in Hell.

I am already converting over to the Investment option so that i can dump my 250k in an IRA and get a house in Tansi up in TN. You can keep this place. I just want my boys to get Bright Futures, so I may rent once i sell.

Folks, I need to ask a couple of questions. I will be going to East Tennessee. I have not opened a Bank Account in 20 plus years, I've had the same CU and Bank for 22 years. What can i expect as far credit Checks, etc... What about mortgages in other states and moving out of state with one vehicle that has a lien with Ford credit, this is gonna be wierd, i am very much in a comfort zone down here and will be a baby as to REAL American life. Anything will be a help.

PeeVee and Titan and others, have you guys seen or experienced that"engineered wood" construction, I have only had CBS homes, one was a Mighty Fortress of poured concrete.

      You are so right...

...condo here on LBK just got the renewal notice & it went up 348%...I don't even have renter's insurance anymore...

When my mom makes up her mind about where she's going, I'd like to be out of Florida in the next five years...love my job but am just over the heat, expense, and general quality of life here...

The house I rent a room in is in Middle TN (Nashville) and was built in the 1950s. It is a solid concrete and stone house, so I do not know about the "engineered wood."

When I buy my own house in another year or so, I will be buying one of these older houses. I don't trust the way new houses are built today. I saw too much damage from hurricanes in Florida, and the tornados that happened just north of Nashville this past April.

East TN is a different animal. I actually thought you were going to still be in Middle TN. Isn't Crossville still in the Central time zone?

Yeah it is Titan but I still consider it east, more mountain than foothill so to speak.

Life, isn't CA (I assume that's what it means) getting hammered also?
