    replied to Student Loan Forebearance?
    LadyintheRed,

Thank you! I finally got a hold of my attorney and he advised me to really study my NDC account. He stated that my student loan lender did file a claim. After logging on NDC, I studied some more and indeed they filed a claim. I still have more questions about how to understand...

    Thanks, Anderson

Seriously?? This is not good then. In my case my student loan lender has not filed a claim and they are stating my forbearance ends next month. I am trying to get a hold of my attorney and his assistant, but to no luck about this. As usual.

    I cannot imagine...

You are welcome, Leahnc. The strange thing is that my trustee did not mention anything about prioritizing my student loan; he mentioned about the remainder of attorney fee balance for my attorney into my payment plan though - did yours? I will provide an update once I get in touch with my attorney about...

    Leah,

I have a student loan with Great Lakes as well. My account has been in forbearance since I filed for CH13. I went to check my account from their website just now and they said payments are to resume next month. My attorney said from before not to pay them directly as the trustee...

  • Bk13retire,

That must suck - being forced to retire in this manner. Have you gotten in touch with your attorney about your current situation yet? And you are only 12 months to go before your payment plan is done? I don't think you will be forced to refile and restart your 60 months...

    Imindebt,

I agree with Taipans. Your attorney should have gone over every allowable expense with you and to come up with wiggle room such as food expenses and inflation costs to factor in. Taipans, yes there is a recreational/entertainment expense that can be put in. My attorney did...

I used beadviser.com It cost me less than 10 dollars and an additional 5 dollars for faxing the certificate to my attorney (there are options of how to get a certificate after the course is completed). But as switch suggested, you can get additional information from your attorney...

  • Thanks! I will be checking with my attorney and his paralegal (hopefully to get a response from them in a timely manner, not weeks ) It is just that when I had my 341 meeting with the trustee, he has made mention of "approving" this and that, making me think he oversees these...

  • Trustees discharging CH13 cases earlier or follow confirmed payment plans?

    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone on this forum has had a CH13 case that has been discharged by their trustee earlier as opposed to the terms of their confirmed payment plans? For instance, those with a 5 year payment plan been discharged earlier let's say 48 months instead of 60 months...
