Oh yes, many of us KNOW the feeling of doing without things that before bankruptcy we just wouldn't spend the money on.... All our money went on a cc payment.
I've seen the time in the past that I couldn't buy a cup of coffee at the coffee shop with friends. Finally some of them got wise to what the problem was - NO MONEY.....
When your single, money is extremely tight..... We don't have the advantage of having two paychecks coming in...
but still have the same expenses as any man with a family maintaining a household and men make a lot more than women do....

A person with a family does have more expenses than a person living alone. It costs more to feed, clothe, etc. a family of 5 than a family of 1. Not to mention rent/mortgage for more space will be a higher cost, medical, utilities, etc. The list can go on and on. And, not all men make more than women do. Encouraging that stereotype is like telling people to accept it as fact and not try for better.

I just didn't want someone (who has a family & 2 incomes, yet is still struggling) to read it as an insult. Like: your bills are no more than mine, and you have 2 incomes so what's the problem? I knew it wasn't meant that way. I'm the sort of person that speaks my mind, otherwise it would have bugged me.

Did not mean that 2 income families had it easy, they DON'T..... the more in the family the more expensive it is. But a single person does have the same basic bills, no matter how many in the family of 2 incomes. Yes utilities go up, grocery bills high, clothes, etc or more expensive.
If you will check national statistics women holding the same postions as men are normally paid up-to 1/3 less then a man in the same position. Why, GENDER.....
It's not because of education, experience, etc - its because of gender only....
Most women that make big bucks are highly skilled professionals with degrees. It is not your everyday housewife that works.
I meant no insult to anyone regarding their income.....
Many people work at minimun wage jobs and can do no better at the present time. So will never do any better due to lack of education and many just plain circumstances of life.

Omish, is a very religious group like Quakers...... they are in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania....

The Omish are well known and many still live like they did back in the 1800's with no autos, no electric, etc. They grow their own food mostly, are fantastic carpenters and builders.... (they built my garage), and they are are self supportive group. They sell their produce (excellent - no chemicals), they build homes, buildings, etc. They live in a designated village and seldom wander from it and usually marry within the group...Minny
