It looks like my case has gone smoothly and just about over, I just wanted to say thank you for all your comments! Not sure I could have done it without this place and the advice and experiences shared. Thanks again!

Hello. I just signed up for this forum. I filed BK in June. We have already made two payments on our 60 month plan. I posted a question about getting an extra job to make ends meet, but I saw elsewhere that it would only increase my payment plan. I don't know what to do.

Hi There. I saw that you did the sticky regarding federal taxes. I'm about to file Chapter 7 and I posted a question but received no response. I thought maybe you could help me. Here's the post:

Also, I'm unsure where to put my taxes, on Schedule D or E. It seems that if the lien is automatically created they must go on Schedule D. Thanks for any suggestions you have - I'd really appreciated it!

I fall below the median income for Tennessee. I made 31k last year. I am a courier. My car is my office. Since Katrina, I have been hit again and again.
Car repairs, etc. I just spent (charged $2300) trying to fix my 06 HHR. Only to find out that I have a factory defect in the frame. I have credit cards that I have not activated yet with 5k limits. But I know I am in trouble. I am not activating those cards.
I need a car or I will lose my job.
Would the court or the trustee deem it abuse if I bought another car while my credit is still good? At the same time, default on this car? Also, will that default cause my cc companies to change their % rates etc?
I have 23k in cc and 16k left on my car. I have very little to show for the debt. I make, on average, $2300 per month. So, I just spent a whole months wage on my car. I have maxed out my work hours.
Would you answer the car question, the % rate question, and make any other observations you may have.
    Thanx
