Congratulations. Hearing other people's 341 experiences helps me to become less uneasy about mine which will be coming up the day after Christmas.

I plan on doing a ride-through on my motorcycle as well. Hopefully the questioning from the Trustee will be as uneventful as yours.

Like Lady states, if the amount of pay you will receive from cashing out vacation time will results in putting you over the median income, then you are best off either getting filed right away (this month) so it won't be included in your 6 month average income, or you will need to wait until it won't...

  • Only being a few weeks out from your discharge. I think you're going to have a hard time finding financing with a rate that is going to result in a lower payment than what you are paying now. $235 / month for a 5 year old vehicle seems like a pretty reasonable payment. You're allowed to buy food to eat. It's a reasonable expense. The trustee...

  • Ch. 7 filed today. Feeling a weight starting to get lifted!

Chapter 7 was just filed today. 341 is set for 12/26. Wow, that was quick! I hope that means good things.

    Under median
    100k unsecured debts
    50k student loans

I'm reaffirming my vehicle loan (owe 5k, worth 5k) because of cross-collateralization with my CU. I was...

  • My wife receives the same benefits for our oldest son and our attorney indicated that it must be included as income.

Any "Social Security" income has to be included under section 8 of Schedule I. However, it is not considered as part of your income for passing the means test.

I am in the same position with my BK and credit union (BECU) and, from my research and review of similar posts on this forum, the credit union has to adhere to the "automatic stay" that is put in place when you officially file. This should prevent them from being able to pursue any collection...
