Well, to thicken the plot substantially, here's an issue that might cause me a problem, although I never gave it a single thought while it was happening and didn't think about it until after my first post on Monday.

He does not currently have a will that states that he has no assets -- should we seek an attorney to create a will stating this fact so that when it goes to Probate court, there will be formal documentation that the creditors can see? Will I Inherit My Husband's Judgment if He Dies?
My husband has a large judgment against him at this point. He has no assets. (The house, car, etc. are all in my name.) We do not have any joint credit. If he passes away (he has cancer), can the company transfer the judgment to me? Thanks!
