I will try to keep this a short post. We are at 26 mos of 100% payback. We made good money and put a lot away in ira's and 401k. Also helped college age kids with tuiton and loans, ect. Our house and student loans are paid outside. Now my husband is fired. Can we go from a 13 to a 7?

I'm still contributing to my employer's 401k plan at 6% which is the most that they match. Actually, I put in 6 they put in 3 tops. My contribution has dropped from 22 to 18 to 15 to 10 to 6%.

I've read elsewhere on here where that low of a contribution is not enough to raise eyebrows....
