I blogged at the end of Dec that Citi told me one account had just charged off (8 mos behind at that time) and was in no-man's land, and the other (5 mos behind at that time) was scheduled to charge off at the end of February.

Well, I just accidentally picked up a call from Citi (I'm on serious paid meds)- first off when I realized who I was talking to, I told her that I had called them to have it noted in my accounts that I was having a hysterectomy on Jan 19th and wouldn't be talking to them again til February, so I couldn't believe they were even calling me!! She said she would note the account and take us out of the auto dialer for a few weeks, so we'll see...

But what was really odd was that she indicated that both accounts are still in house, and had not been charged off. It's really bizarre how you can't take anything they say at face value. While I am not a naive person, I do tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but now I don't know. This is all complicated enough without having to try to read between the lines and guessing what people really mean when they say something!
