  • I agree with the others..just make that final payment as scheduled...paying it earlier (right after your 59th payment) isn't going to get things processed any quicker. As Switch said, just hold tight..it will be here soon enough, plus he's right, you never know if an emergency expense will come up....

  • I'm hoping everything works out well for you...and there are no extra costs. The fact is there are little things that can happen during our plan that none of us know about until something like this happens (and no there's not ongoing bumps in the road that you weren't told about). I know but put it...

  • Hmmm..does sound like a question for your attorney. Not relevant here, but if you did not complete your plan, the car dealer could come after you for the extra interest you didn't
pay during the plan. I'm almost suspecting that is what you're running into (not that you're not finishing your plan)...

I always ask - are you in a 100% payback plan. If so, then yes go ahead and pay early. If not, think twice. If you are paying back less than 100% the payment could be distributed to
your creditor and the trustee would still be looking for your December payment. Congratulations on being so close!!!...

  • How old is your car?? When the claim is made it includes interest/principal. The question is was the interest rate crammed down? That means the interest rate is lower than what you signed for. Trustees are able to do that when you're in BK so you are not being charged an unfair high rate. When the payment...

Wow..payment day has already arrived!! It sounds like everything will be just fine. If they didn't call looking for their money; you'll be fine when it's paid tomorrow

Sorry Jessica..could you rewrite your message..not sure what it's saying. Beware of credit repair services, not all creditors agree to take part in what is proposed. Not trying to make you go for BK, but at least with this, what you see is what you get..and your creditors all take part.

Hi..I used TFS and never had a problem with them. And I did do it manually. I don't see anything wrong with you doing it the same thing. Just make sure you have it scheduled in time
to make your payment date. I wouldn't want to be babysitting the auto system so you might as well take care...

  • Hi and congratulations! Have you completed both credit counseling courses? If not, make sure to do them ASAP. (most people do them in the beginning...but just in case). Once your trustee confirms your final payment you will be notified to stop paying or your work will be notified to stop the garnishment....

replied to Quick question about mortgage payment
As long as your payment is made before the grace period date (per your mortgage agreement) you should be fine. If you were to pay after the grace period, there would be a late fee added. If you didn't pay by the 30th you would show as late to the credit bureaus. Don't bother making a partial payment,...

Car loans aren't reaffirmed in a chapter 13. I'm not sure how they report during the BK, but I don't know why they wouldn't report after it's over. Mortgages report correctly after a 13 ends and they aren't ever reaffirmed.

That's great...then your plan will likely end earlier than the 60 months your plan calls for.

Hi - while you are in BK...your mortgages may show on your credit report but they will show as part of your BK. Whether it is paid in the plan or you pay it on your own (which is what I did),
it's still going to show as part of your BK. Until you are discharged (regardless of who pays), your home...

    replied to Pacer question
Personally, I used it just to see who had filed a claim. There is a post that shows how to go into Pacer without incurring charges. (You only click on documents when something new has filed). You don't have to stay totally away from it (unless you choose to)..you just have to know how to use it w...

  • By George, I think you got it . Understanding about budgeting in 13 will help you move forward. The great thing is at the end of your plan, you have a fresh start.
