  • Are you in a 100% payback or less? If you're in a 100% plan, it's not an issue. If you're in a less than 100% you might want to run a scenario question past your attorney just to be sure.

Congrats on getting through the scrary part Truthfully most people come back and say it was way better than they thought. Claims usually come in right up until the end so you'll have to wait to see what happens. Most payday loan companies will file. Good luck as you continue this process..believe...

  • Hi..that is good news. Now you just sit back and wait. The trustee works behind the scenes to do what is required to complete the case. Congratulations..you are sliding into the finish line now

That's good to hear...the plan takes time..but the wait at the end is the worst . Just relax, it'll be quicker than you think.

  • They said you did it too early? That's not right. The course has to be done by the time you complete your plan, which means you can do it anytime between when you file and when you complete. I completed my 2nd course right after we filed and it was uploaded into the court record. As a matter of fact,...

You just leave it in her hands...if she mentioned they had violated the stay she will let them know what's what. Don't worry..sounds like you're in good hands.

Congratulations on completing your plan. As Lady In the Red said you need to see the official word in Pacer; having said that, it looks like you're on your way

Hi...I was discharged from a Chapter 13. I'm not sure how it works for a 7, but the way around getting a mortgage right out of BK is taking out an FHA loan. Yes you pay an extra amount monthly but the amount goes down each year. Also FHA allows people to take out higher loans (if needed) than traditional...

What I'm wondering is, if you have $120 left after expenses, why is your lawyer suggesting a $400 payment....
good luck, I hope things work out they way you want them to.

  • @Barbsi..I think most companies now have high deductible plans which is why it is necessary to have an HSA account. However as VolFan wrote a deductable for one company (such as LM) can be significantly different than somewhere else. When my company went to a high deductible plan, I was upset because...

  • justbroke - Hi! Are you saying United Healthcare is now owned by CVS????? The company plan I'm on was with United Health care but is switching to Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield effective January 1st. I'm just asking cause that's an interesting bit of information. I read that CVS is or has bought Aetna...

  • Hi Barbsi...I am sure there isn't one health insurance company that doesn't have nightmare stories written about them (real or perceived). 2 things - I use to have Cigna...it was fine and I never had any problems with them. Second - Lockheed Martin is a huge organization...I can not imagine them having...

Hi..I filed on 1 payday loan..it wasn't very big. The trustee paid it bit by bit over the 5 years. I was told that trustees are not big fans of payday loan companies and have been known to drag them out over the five years. I didn't believe it when I was told that, but than I saw it

Congratulations..just be sure your case is totally closed before you go to get a loan. Even though we were discharged, the bank would not show us out of bk until they received notice from the court that the case was closed. In your case, that may already be the case..but the way to know for sure is...

replied to Will I ever discharge?
At this point of the game (you're all done - congratulations!) there is no harm calling the trustee's office to ask how long the discharge normally takes. Different districts do them differently.
In my case, I was discharged a few weeks after my final payment was made; however, the case was not...

fiveyear - good for you...two years down, you'll be done before you know it. I felt the same way as you when i filed...i got myself into the mess and I had to get myself out.
