    Reaffirmation.. bank dragging feet.

Lawyer is trying to get the agreement together. I have a modest house that is close to being payed off. Of course I want to get this done before discharge. What happens if the bank is not timely enough to get this done? Probably extension which upsets me. What if I don’t get the agreement? Can...

Thanks! I did apply for a meijer credit card. I got approved for 500.00 . I figure I can buy grocery’s and some home goods there to help build. I honestly thought I’d never even get that. I think it beats a secured card with fees though.

    Did you reaffirm your auto?

I’ve read here that reaffirmation is a bad ideal. I did on my auto and the reasoning was it was only 2 years old with low miles and I owed a little less then it worth. I figured I would pay it off and keep on driving it , hopefully through worst years of bk ruining the credit. Also , I don’t have...

    Credit scores/ roller coaster.

It’s been close to 3 weeks since my 341. There’s been lots of activity on my credit report. Accounts removed, reaffirming car loan notations. Etc. but my scores are crazy, one will drop up to 90 points then a week later goes up 88. Right now there’s 100 point difference in equifax & transunion....

If there was an issue with questionable purchases it would be the credit card companies that would take notice . That would be a reason they could show up at your 341. To dispute the discharge of specific purchases . But as you have read here they rarely show. I’d imagine it would take something really...

Maybe some others will chime in here. For what it’s worth though , stop using cards, let the six month mark pass, nothing happened to me in that time, the usual late bills came. I was not asked for credit card statements, they didn’t ask for statements for the 341. I was not asked how or what expenses...

    replied to BK timeline?
Filing bk is a very tough decision, it take a hit on your self worth. I had cards/ credit lines in good standing for 15 years. Things change. You have to look at it as a business decision to resolve a problem that’s not going anywhere. I really don’t want anyone close to me to know I had to file...

Well it sounds to me like if you say you have card balances you are sure you can never catch up on then filing is your only option . Eventually judgements will probably come on those unpaid cards, who knows when. Personally I’d stop paying the cards and quit using them at least 4 months before filing...

  • A quick online search showed 80,956 for a family of 4 to pass means test. You have a really low home/ rent payment. I think you will be filling a 13. Also in the 7 you will lose the tax return and the paid off car minus the AZ exemption , which I think is pretty low if I recall....
