Hello justbroke, I hear you're the resident Pro Se expert. I'm struggling with my Schedule C - federal exemptions, a bit, and need to file my schedules A~J tomorrow.
AngelinaCat suggested I ask you about Chapter 7 Pro Se filing questions, and so I'm hoping you get a notification about this PM. ;)

RE: Federal Wildcard exemption (d)(5) - does the second part of the federal Wildcard exemption: "Up to $11,500 of unused homestead exemption amount, for any property. 11 U.S.C. § 522 (d)(5)" still apply to me if I don't own a home and I'm not claiming any federal real property exemption - under Real Property - 11 U.S.C. § 522 (d)(1) ?
IOW, can I still claim the $11,500 wildcard exemption toward any property, even though I'm not claiming any Real Property/Homestead exemption, or do I need to stick with claiming just the first part of the federal Wildcard exemption: "$1,150 of any property 11 U.S.C. § 522 (d)(5)" federal wildcard exemption?

    Thank you so much!
