What's happening, where is my case?!!

Somebody tell me please what could be going on here. I just tried to check pacer and it is saying that my case is invalid. It wont show me anything.

The last time I check it was a couple of weeks ago, I think. On 9/14 or somewhere around there, the trustee had asked to be dismissed of his duties, stated it was no asset and then for the case to be discharged. Our last day for objections was set for 11/10 or somewhere around there.

Now I cant find anything. It wont pull my case up, it says it is not a good case number. I have double and triple checked the case number it's right. I even went back in and logged in a couple more times and double checked to make sure that I had the correct court. What is happening here? Does this mean it was dismissed or something? I havent received any phone calls or no notices in the mail. Someone please help, I am freaking out here.

Try searching for your case not by number but by your last name and last four.

Yes, I have done that already as well. It is actually not giving me the option to enter either social #'s. I hope i am just having a brain fart and am doing something wrong. It will let me log in and it is charging my account but it keeps saying that the case # is invalid.

Calm down, its okay. Pacer, like any other website, can experience some technical difficulty. I believe pacer reboots the site for updates sometime around 7am eastern. Try logging in tomorrow.

Alright, I am taking deep breaths because I think I was starting to hyper-ventilate. I dont understand if they were rebooting why they would let me log in and charge me for stuff. When I log in it shows that they are charging me. When I searched by both of our names it brought up quite a few and charged for like 3 or 4 pages a piece.

I am going to take a hot bubble bath and read a book. I will login in the morning and have my anxiety attack then if it wont let me bring up our case. (Maybe I should wait until the courthouse or the trustees office opens, lol)

Also remember, tomorrow is columbus day, a bank and legal holiday, so it may not update as expected. Maybe just chill out until tuesday then check it, you have really no reason to panic for now.

Are you sure you got the BK Court, CVA??

              PACER has reorganized their links.

If you run your mouse across Links at the top of the main page and then select PACER Links, on the Next Page you get a list of Courts.

              Supreme Court
              National Index
              US Circuit Court of Appeals
US District Court (which are links that look like BK Court links)

And then you get to the US BK Courts list.

I accidentally clicked on the US District Court link for my area and got the same "Invalid Entry" search error that you did. I went back to the Courts Links page and saw I was in the wrong Court. I then went to the BK Court Links and it worked just fine. Either by using Soc Sec Number or Case Number it came up both times.

Hopefully, you just tried the wrong Court Link.
              Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
              Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007

One other thing to check is that you have checked the correct status:

On my pacer this is a check box for "closed" cases and one for "open" cases.
If you have checked the wrong one, it may come back as invalid.

Thanks guys for trying to help and trying to comfort me.

I called the trustees office because I had double and triple checked everything and it was still saying invalid. I was told that because of all of the rain we were having it probably knocked out pacer. They also said you have nothing to worry about we are just waiting the 60 days for objections and then your case will be discharged.

Thanks again everybody. Sorry for freaking out
