Does anyone here know how lenient the trustees & bankruptcy courts are in the Western New York district? I have seen a lot of posts from people in other states and was curious what pros or cons I could face in my district.
Thanks
What, specifically, do you want them to be lenient about?
In the end, no district is any more or any less lenient than the other. Bankruptcies are an intertwining of federal law (the BK code) and state law (asset exemptions, secured transactions, lending regulations etc). Thus, FL may provide better exemptions than NY, but that doesn't mean the courts are any more or less lenient.
Nothing in particular. I just have seen posts from other people stating that their 341 meetings were very easy with just a question or 2 from the trustee and I was wondering if anyone else had filed in western ny and how grueling the 341 was for them.
Thanks
