I keep hearing mention of reporting to the trustee your tax returns if you get them. Do you report your Federal Return or your State Return or both? I am converting from a Chapter 13 to 7 on Thursday and am curious on this for next year.
Next question - Does anyone know if the 341 meeting is different for Chapter 13 and Chapter 7? When I had mine for Chapter 13 they didn't make me provide any documents, such as bank statements or tax returns. All I had to take was drivers licenses and social security card. Actually at the 341 meeting for the Chapter 13 trustee only asked me 1 question and then it was done, maybe lasted 3 minutes. I know a few other people that have done a chapter 7 and they have never mentioned that they had to give tax returns and bank statements to the trustee for review. Also, I know some off them have had large Federal TAx returns and never reported them to the trustee. Could the laws in Wisconsin, where I live, be more leniant?
