Credit reporting after discharge of debt

Hi

My filing was in april 2003 and I have found that my mortgage company
continued reporting through 10/2005 when I paid them off. Trouble is
the info is wrong and when I paid it off they said I just filed bankruptcy!

Main question, I thought once bankruptcy is filed credit reporting
ends for creditors included in filing, I know they can say in the report
they were included but that is all they can report is that correct?

So, you filed BK undre the old law. First, a few questions...

1. Did you file Chapter 7 or 13 (sounds like a 7, but I want to be sure).
2. Did you reaffirm the mortgage, or simply keep making the payments.

Strictly speaking, there is nothing wrong with them reporting the post BK payment history, especially if its positive, that helps you.

Filed first as CH13 then had to convert to CH7 about 5 months later. I did not reaffirm any creditors and continued making mortgage payments thru trustee then directly when converted to 7.

The trustee took a while to pay the money to the mortgage bank that I had already paid
in the prior months. Everything was eventually corrected and paid up before the chapter
7 was discharged.

My problem is the mortgage company reported this late activity which happend
after the initial ch13 filing and conversion after the case was discharged, the following month! Looks like a retalitory posting.

Then when I obtained a new mortgage from another lender not affiliated with them they
reported me as a refinance and then list me as filing bankruptcy then 3 years later!

Can they actually report payment issues after the inital filing?
