I need to replace my car as it has transmission problems. I plan on filling chapter 7 soon, but if I get a loan for a car will this cause problems with BK. I plan on filling pro se. I have a no asset easy case. How long should I wait before filling and gettin the loan.

As long as it's a basic car, and you reaffirm the debt, there should be absolutely no problem. If anyone asks in the case, just say that your old car had transmission problems that weren't worth fixing, and you needed something to get to/from work.DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney.
