    so irritating... need advice

My BK7 was discharged and closed on 1/03/07. I pulled my CRs from TrueCredit and noticed that my private student loan was listed as IIB. I disputed, and got a letter today from the lender stating that it was reported correctly and they will not change it.

So.... what is the deal? If something is listed as IIB, doesn't that mean it's discharged? The other things we kept (house, federal student loans) do not show IIB. To me, if I am responsible for the debt and have continued to pay it (which I have), the lender shouldn't be able to damage my CR.

The other question: my dad cosigned the loan. Our attorney said it wouldn't hurt him in any way for us to file, but his CR shows IIB for the student loan as well. Can he dispute as "not mine" and get it taken off?

I know this is an odd situation, but I don't understand what has happened. I didn't think the loan was IIB because it wasn't discharged - but maybe it was since it was private? So confused - I welcome any tips!

I have no earthly idea? I do know that most of mine show IIB, but then I am in a ch 13.
