Income Tax Returns, One More Time

I had a question before about whether I could keep my refund.

I called the lawyer, he said as long as the confirmation order didn't say anything about turning over the refund, I was able to keep it.

It doesn't, so that is good.

But I think I have read here NOT to e-file. Why is that?

    Thanks for the help.

E-Filing is OK. At least here it is. Depends on your Trustee.

Our Trustee didn't want anyone taking the Rapid Refunds. Rapid Refunds are just Loans that have high fees and interest for the time you have the money. Significantly reduces the actual $$$'s you get back after you pay the fees.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

My confirmation order did not say anything about tax refunds, so I am allowed to keep them. However, my attorney advised not to e-file and not to have the funds electronically deposited into my personal accounts. For the past (2) years I have filed the "old fashioned" way and even though I have to wait for the checks, I have received them without any problems.
