    Now what?

Hi! I just had a few quick questions, so thanks right now for any help. My case was closed & discharged January 16th So obviously rebuilding my credit is in my future, but what about right now? Should I pull credit reports to check, for what to make sure it states Chaptr 7? Should I check my FICO Score? If I have problems with my credit report, am I suppose to call the company itself, if so and deal with whom? I know these questions are like duh but I just wasnt sure what direction to go in now, and I like talking to you all then my lawyer. Thanks

    Hi Jaded!

I moved your post here as this is likely where you'll receive the best answers to your questions.

Start by pulling your Credit Reports. Make sure all your accts that should be are showing IIB. Included In Bankruptcy. And your balances are being reported as Zero. That you don't owe anyone any money.

You might wanna sign onto a Credit Monitoring Service. Disputing takes about 30 days per round. You dispute, the CRA's have 30 days to investigate and validate. Then you look at your Credit Reports again. It may take several times disputing to get everything reporting correctly.
