All of our debt is unsecured. No cc companies made a claim when we filed a 7back in August. If no one made a claim against us, what does the trustee do, just give them money anyway? How do they determine how much money to give them back?

When I filed, I got a copy of a letter my trustee send to my creditors informing them that the filing was no asset and instructing them not to file a claim until he determined if there were assets. If assets were found, the creditors would be instructed to file claims.
That's likely what will happen in your case.
You're posting in a 13, so I assume you converted? We converted as well. No one filed claims under chapter 7, but once we were converted, all creditors were notified and had 60 days, I think, to file a claim. Mine was about 50-50. About half filed claims, and only those who file claims will get paid.

Coma, I converted too from Ch13 to Ch7 NO ASSETS, I was soppose to be discharged about Jan 8th or afterwards (last day of objections was the 8th) the Trustee sent out an ASSET notice, I have no idea what he is looking for, I have not assets, no tax refund coming and am still paying on a secured creditor (my car). Well my case has been DISCHARGED but no closing yet.
