Collection Efforts not on Credit Report

Would anyone have any idea why a creditor who sold my debt as a charge off and the debt buyer who is being paid the full amount in monthly payments over the past two years would have not reported anything in my credit report. Was it there and then removed because I have been really paying the debt back a the agreed schedule?

The most straight forward answer is that the Debt Buyer is not obligated to report anything on your credit report. The main reason being, debt buyers do not extend credit, they merely collect.

As a tactic, many collections agencies and debt buyers will report the collection effort as a means to try to motivate the debtor to pay, but as far as I know, they are under no obligation to report.

Thanks for taking the time to answer me. I am still confused why the original creditor has never place anything on my credit report.
