    PACER Question

Is there a way I can check out the trustee's cases? Just curious to see what he is actually looking for with regards to what he's been looking at.

    Yes.

Be sure to go to your State and District. Then you can Query by the Trustee's name.

Enter Last name. You can try First name and Middle name also, but it may limit your results.

Then under Type, select Trustee and hit "run query".

I have to warn you tho,.............. If you go looking into a bunch of people's files, you'll easily run up quite a tab.

      Sinkingfast,

I don't know where it is! I went on under bankruptcy and signed in. Then it takes me to my stuff. Where do I find the state and district. Sorry I'm being so thick headed. Also, will it come up with the US Trustee or the original 341 trustee (2 different people). Thanks so much!!

Just so we're on the same page here,..........

On the Main PACER Homepage,........... Top Toolbar, you'll see "Links" toward the left. Place your cursor over that and then select PACER Links.

Next page, select BK, upper toolbar to the right.

Then, find your State and District. Click on that link.

Next page, you'll see a Court Seal top center with a Link under it. Click on that link.

Next page, you log in with your User ID and password. Click "log-in" and it will take you to a new page.

In the top toolbar, select Query.

On the Query page, you can enter your Panel/Standing Trustee's last name, or your UST's last name. You can also enter their first and middle names, but that info can limit your search return results.

Sometimes attnys and Trustee start out using their name one way and then switch to a different use. As an example, say your attnys name is Joseph Thomas Smith. He could be filing cases as Joseph T. Smith, J. Thomas Smith, Joe Smith, etc. Our attny has used his name 2 different ways during his career.

Then toward the bottom of the Search Criteria, there's a box that says "Type". That box asks you to select what type of search you want to run. You can choose from Attny, Trustee, Common Creditor, UST, etc. Pick the appropriate one. Trustee, UST, or Support Staff UST.
