We've received emails from two firms recently advising of class-action settlements against EX & EQ, stating overcharging against consumers for their credit monitoring and cred rpt services. With EX, DW is offered one free month or 9.95 and with EQ I was offered 3 months of free monitoring. Has anyone else gotten these notices? Funny that they both cam within days of each other. I haven't responded yet, not even sure I want to be further identified...

I got the EQ one today, but not the EX one. It's been a while since I've purchased from the CRAs...especially after the free annual credit report bill passed...so I've forgotten if I've purchased from EX (maybe that's why I didn't get an EX email).DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney.
