I recently received a Chapter 7 discharge. Now I received bill from my local county claiming that I still owe the personal property taxes based on 11 U.S.C. section 523(a)(1)(A). Does anyone have any experience with the non-dischargeability of personal property taxes? Thanks!

Generally speaking, Taxing Authorities are considered a Priority Creditor and receive special treatment under the New Law. Filers can't even Discharge recent tax debts with the IRS.
The letter you received is probably accurate.
Just to be on the safe side, you should call the attny that filed your BK and ask them.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
