Got tax valuation for 2008.
Tax bill not even DUE yet for 2006.
Already HAD the tax valuation for 2007.
Asked assessor HOW can you place a value on my house two YEARS into the future? They said they do that to give people 'time to estimate what their tax bill will be?
HOGWASH. She gave me a 'formula' to try to see what would happen. I told her my tax will DOUBLE this September, and again in 2008 with their 'valuations' that are already in place? She said- you have to remember that the tax bill is an estimate and can INCREASE with school deficits, and etc.
I said than HOW are you 'helping me estimate my taxes' for valuing my house two YEARS ahead of the tax due date?
HOGWASH.
Shocking tho- property taxes here (AZ) will almost DOUBLE this September, and be easily 50% more that than a year from then.
How the hell can people survive?
