Make plans to go about 30 minutes early to sit in on a couple of meetings, it will put your mind and your body at ease! You will sit at an informal meeting with the trustee and any creditors who decide to show, and as you have read-rarely do any creditors show. I had $80k in debt and no one showed!
He will ask you a list of standard questions which they are required to have you answer under oath and recorded. The trustee will then ask for any documentation they have requested and clarify any questions they may have regarding your petition.
As long as you have been honest on your petitions and not grossly underestimated any values it'll go by quickly.
I know it's easy for someone to tell you not to worry once they have been through it, but you'll be on this side in just a few days!
Good Luck and don't worry.

Be prepared to give the following documents at the 341, ONLY IF THE TRUSTEE REQUESTS THEM...
1. Two years of tax returns (2003, 2004)
2. The past Three months of Bank Statements from all accounts from the date you filed.
3. If employed, 1 month worth of paystubs.
4. If divorced in the last year, a copy of your divorce decree.

creditor meeting 04/13/05
went to where meeting was held. my name was not on the list. the clerk looked at my letter giving date and time of creditor meeting and saw that i filed as myself and also as a LLC. she told me that i could not represent myself because i had a corporation. i told her that LLC was a limited liability COMPANY not a corporation. the trustee called us all into his office and stated he would attempt to resolve my situation. he asked the normal questions and said he would have to check with Maryland Tax and Assessment department to determin wether i could proceed on my own.
he then asked me what i wanted to keep, since on schedule C and D i had left blank. the only thing worth while, is my 2002 pickup truck which i owe 12k and it is worth 8.5k and payment are upto date. my research told me that in Maryland i was only allowed about 6k of assets to keep. the truck is my only asset. the trustee told me to amend schedule C and D which i'll do and go from there. Any comments? thanks
