Creditor pulling report after I filed

Can a creditor keep pulling my credit report after I file bankruptcy?

Can they keep pulling it after my discharge?

I imagine they can if they have a legitimate reason to. Why are they pulling your reports?

After filing, they can pull your credit report in order to help them evaluate your overall financial picture, to see if a dischargeability motion is in order.

After discharge, though, they probably don't have a legitimate reason to pull your credit, unless they make you a new offer of credit.

Not sure why they're pulling them. It was shortly after the discharge that they had pulled it so it's likely they didn't even know about the discharge yet. I'll keep an eye on it and make sure they don't do so anymore.

Once they are aware of your discharge, they should not pull your credit report at all, as they are no longer a creditor.

But until they are aware of the discharge, as a creditor they do have the right to monitor your credit.
