My business partner paid off a loan we had through a bank in Michigan and now is suing me for my half of the debt (he bought the note from the bank).
There is language in the contract regarding bankruptcy. Basically it says that if I declare bankruptcy, I still owe the money.
I am not trying to get out of paying, I just would like to pay at a rate that I can afford.
Does anyone know if I will still owe this money even if I declare bankruptcy?
Thanks!
