Hi, I'm back. Still trying to straighten out the mess from my Feb 1st post!!
The background is: The PA Trustee kept our Ch 13 open long after my husband's obligation was met. She made dwindling payments to our mortgage company for over a year, we were told not to make any payments the Trustee was still making, and ended up in arrears with foreclosure looming after finally converting to Ch 7 and getting discharged.
While trying to fix this problem we are finding that there are many others in the same boat. Our refinancing broker has met some, the attorney admited once that the Trustee does this often and shrugged his shoulders, and over the weekend at a seminar we heard of two others in the Pittsburgh area. (an aside: no, we didn't fall for the seminar's sales pitches)
The questions are: Anyone else on this forum from PA in this situation? (having been, ah, sce-rewed by a bankruptcy) And what, if anything, can we do about it?
