trustee questioneir (75 questions)

We got our LITTLE questioneir for the trustee in the mail yesterday! 75+ questions! Looks like our trustee is examining everyone with a microscope! Everything Ive ever seen anyone on here post about, is asked. From joint accounts to money paid to family. You can circle yes or no, but underneith the question, it says give specifics. They ask about tax refunds within 60 days, how youve valued your assets, inheritance, ebay, internet sales, they even want copies of any financial statements you have filled out within the past year (banks, vehicle financers, etc). They want copies of titles for all vehicles bought or sold within a year (dont the buyers get the titles?, I dont have copies!). Well, I hope this will help prepare everyone, cuz I never expected it. Gotta call my attorney today and see how I go about getting this stuff? It says to bring the questioneir to the 341 meeting, but i have to mail mine to our attorney, so hopefully he will go over it before hand. I CANT WAIT TILL THIS IS OVER!

Holy cow your trustee is thorough. Our trustee sent out our packet before the 341 and it contained all of 20 questions, same format, yes or no and give specifics if yes. He didn't want any titles or bank statements, nothing along those lines. He just asked if we owned property, sold property, sold or given away anything in the last year (even old donating old clothes). If we were due any money that we knew of, etc. We just got the basic questions that we had already been asked by the attorney. It still amazes me how different this whole process is in each state and even from district to district in a state.

Only difference is we filled it out in the attorneys office and they submitted it to the trustee with our file, so the trustee already had it at our 341. I figured it was to speed things up at the 341 so the trustee would'nt have to spend so much time asking us questions.

Exact same for us. Our attny wanted all that stuff on file before he filed our Petition. They scanned our docs into their system and printed out copies.

At our 341, the Trustee had one copy and I noticed our attny had an identical copy. It was about 4" thick. The Trustee's copy also had colored stickies here and there.

Evidently our attny had submitted all the stuff prior to our 341 and the Trustee had had a chance to go thru it all. The Trustee asked if we had completed the "Trustees Questionnaire" and signed it. The Trustee had a few questions jotted on the top sheet which he did ask us as he referenced documents in our "file" by going to the different colored stickies.

glad to hear this is not uncommon. its really overwhelming, though! I was expecting 15-20 questions. But I called our attorney this morning, and they said to just write on the paper that the buyers have the titles, and toyota has our financial statement. I sure hope "sorry we dont have copies" will be good enough. Thanks for the support, I was very worried that maybe our trustee was going to really rake us over the coals! I pray our 341 is routine too!

Wow...my meeting is today and I don't remember receiving any questionairre. Our attorney never even asked us what we own really. Just the general "got a 401K", "any jewelry", "win any lotteries lately", etc.

Geez...

But he seemed better than some of the other lawyers I spoke with.

Some of these folks have gotten a packet from the Trustee since filing.

Our Court here, all the attnys we Consulted had us complete the Trustee's questionnaire as part of the paperwork they gave us in their office.

So maybe you did fill out one and just didn't know it was the Trustee's form.

Oh I see. Yes, I did receive that from a different lawyer. I didn't end up using him. The attorney I am using didn't give me anything to fill out at all. He just asked me questions while I was in his office. Guess he pretty much covered the basics and then filled in the rest himself.
