First I have to say that this site has been a lifeline for me in the past two months. I don't feel so alone and the sense of shame and guilt that I had about filing BK is going away. Thank you to everyone for making this the best BK site on the web!
So I am getting my paperwork ready to file soon (remember, I had the IRS levy my bank acct!). My question is about the allowable expenses. I have the IRS approved limits for my area which totals 2218 for living expenses, car, and utilities. But when I added up my real expenses, I have 3148. Will a trustee let me have the additional expenses if I have the bills to prove them or will my attorney have to cut back to bring it back in line to 2218? Just my gas and electric runs about 320!
