    Snake in the Pool

Came into work this beautiful morning to see my boss with a seven foot long BOA constrictor in front of the pool area.

Apparently, the snake had gotten sucked up into the filter system & drowned...ewe!

Someone obviously lost their pet somewhere out here & we found it...typical Florida abandoned animal

In Asian countries, they often cook & eat snakes including... well.. soaked them alive in liquor bottles for many years before the liquid turning clear.. and now time to sip .. yummy strong!... They believe you can capture snake spirits by soaking their souls alive and... drank it into yours!?.. make your stronger, free will, voodoo magic, &.. ??? ... Yucks!!

I was at a campsite one time and they had some rattlesnake cooked up trying to get everyone to taste it. They said it tastes like chicken. I told them I would just stick with real chicken. It's funny that everything tastes like chicken.

A couple years ago my husband and I lived across the street from a botanical garden. When we first moved in, we heard neighbors talking about snakes all the time. We never had any trouble until about 2 years after we moved in. Then one night, my hubby and I walked out the front door to walk the dogs, down the front steps, and when we got 3 feet out into the yard, our lab, Sam, bolted back to the steps, and guess what we saw? A snake. Actually, a copperhead! We had stepped right past or even over it. I cringe just thinking about it!

The dogs and I hopped into our car parked nearby. Hubby went back and killed the snake.

I thank my lucky stars that we no longer live there! It was a beautiful area...but that one snake ruined it for me!

Haha..my husband was born & raised in Asia, and he ate many snakes while he completed mandatory military service survival training. Now is is terrified of the garter snakes in our garden thinking they will seek revenge on him. Last year while driving golf balls he hit a ball way out in the shrubs and went to get it. As he reached down and there came out a HUGE 7ft 5"thick snake. He freaked out running up to the house as pale as a ghost. He said he will never eat a snake again.
