    In a Quandry

What if you have been living overseas for a long time your debt is super high and want to return home now that your married and have kids and set things straight by declaring BKK. How does one move back and prove the expenses? How quick can you file. Can you go baack right away start of unemployed and declare BKK? Since I have kids I must find work. Is there a formula to push me into a 7. I'm assuming a lawyer and credit counselling are a must. Should I just forget about ever living in the US again and just visit? I'm thinking I might want my kids to attend school there.

You need to consult an attorney regarding your situation as you have been out of the states for a while.......

Could you file bankruptcy in the country you were in????

Law here requires a certain amount of residential time in one state before you can file bankruptcy....

You will have lots of questions that only an attorney may be able to answer for you since you have been out of the US.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
