For all who replied to my previous post about being freaked out going into our 341 meeting you'll be happy to know that it seemed to go well. It was in a private room-we were the only ones in there with our lawyer and the clerk of the trustee. She basically went over our sheets and we just have to do adjustments as far as salaries, etc. with my raise (what little it was) and with his unemployment. Our lawyer pretty much calmed my fears again when he said that all they'll really look at is if the plan is getting paid as well as the mortgage. That seemed like it. I was still nervous when she asked about the mortgage and if May and June were paid and I said yes at 1st, but then backtracked because I haven't paid June's yet which will be sent out by week's end. I hope that doesn't count against me, but I wanted to make sure we had as much in our accounts as we could before the payment went out so I would have extra cash for other bills. The only drawback was that my stupid payroll department didn't deduct the 1st part of this 1st months payment on time and instead took out for a garnishment that was supposed to have stopped at the same time. So I have to send in that portion of the payment. I think just some of my explanations-you could hear how nervous I was. I felt like I was being interrogated by the police or something. But it's over and done now.
I think we'll be OK. Our trustee offers a free website (instead of PACER) to check on our case and the class before the end of the BK is also free and he conducts it.
Now, we just have to keep our fingers crossed, hope for the best and hope my hubby finds employment and soon!
