    Filed Today

Well we went to atty's office & signed that paperwork & he filed for us Chapter 13, we received our number. He advised to call Honda since today was the deadline for us to vehicle or they reposess the car. I called them & gave them case number & gave our atty's info. The attorney said they will not be able to reposess car now. Just wondering if anyone ever experienced any problems with their cars still be repo'd although paperwork was filed.

There's a time lag between filing and Creditors being notified. And even within Creditors, the Notice getting processed to the correct Dept. It usually takes about a week for your Creditors to receive notice.

Just as a CYA,.......... Don't leave any personal belongings in the car. Anything that you don't want to loose. Clothes, business papers, etc. Just in case you have a visit in the middle of the night because papers crossed in the mail.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

Well my attorney had advised that they would send out letters, but we needed to call them ourselves today & give them case & his info therefore they would know before they received the letter.

So we called Honda & gave them that info, should that be enough to stop the repossession proceedings?
