Easy Bankruptcy Question?

I'm in a situation where my boss doesn't pay me and or can't, i'm not sure as he's a huge liar. He told me recently that he is going to declare Bankruptcy, he said if he paid me before and or during his bankruptcy the money he owes i have to give it back to the courts. Is that true? I'm thinking it isn't. Thanks for your info in advance.

You don't say what state you're in. You'll have to look up the wage laws in your state. I believe, don't quote me on this, that your boss HAS TO pay you. Personally, I think that's bullshit he's feeding you.

If you can find another job, do so, then report him to the workforce commission in your state.

He is probably thinking it would be a preferential payment. However that only applies to creditors, not to employees.

Go get another job...it is totatlly illegal for your boss to not pay you...there is probably some agency in your state's government that handles this.
