    Motion to incur more debt

I have a few questions to ask. We are currently in a chap 13 about 1 1/2 years into a 5 year plan. Recently we were gonna give it up and convert to a 7 but did some numbers and figured that it would be about the same to rent and we wouldn't have to get rid of our dogs, trampoline, above ground pool etc. Anyway, the big thing is that my wife is driving a 97 windstar van with no air (needs compressor/clutch) and my son is driving a 94 silverado that sucks gas. the van also is barely running but makes it to work. We need to run a motion to incur more debt, turn in the two vehicles, find some dealer that will work with us on a chap 13. my questions are can we request to turn in both vehicles with one motion? it cost $400.00 just to ask. is there anyone in the missouri/kansas area that has found a dealer that will work with you on a 13? also. can i buy a car around 2500 or less for my son and tag it without the courts permission? what are my options? i appreciate your responses. this is a great message board. thanks again.

Good Luck trying to find someone to finance you for a vehicle!!! We have tried since last Nov. 2006 and have not found anyone who will finance us. EVERY single dealer said we HAVE to be discharged before a lender will finance us, I am talking no matter how cheap the vehicle. We even tried having our father in law co sign and they said no. We went thru so many dealerships it was pathetic. So we got his dad to loan us 2000.00 so we could buy a used car. Just got last week. A 95 mercury station wagon w/ 106,000 miles on it for 1800.00. The vehicle is spotless inside and out so HOPEFULLY it will last till we can get out of our chapter 13 in just about 2 years.
