    Cable Expense

On our schedules, there is a place for cable tv expense. We had ours turned off to save money. However, we do NetFlix at $17 a month. Do you think it would be OK to include NetFlix as a cable tv bill - we were paying $60 a month on cable.
Or, since we won't be filing for about 3 months, should we start up the cable again - since it is an allowable expense?

Your choice. The $17 netflix would not fall under the cable category, but would be easily exemptable as an entertainment expense. You could also restart your cable and claim that, but do you really want to be spending more money just because you can?

I'd probably wait until after you file to restart your cable.

As for NetFlix that would be an entertainment expense. 17 dollars is a pretty reasonable entertainment expense, but I'd study cases in your area and see what the trustees are allowing and such.
