Are they considered debts???

Are balances on secured credit cards considered "debts", when you file and list the creditors that should be included in a petition? Say you have a secured card with a $2000 limit, but a balance of $1000. Do you have to list that bank as a creditor and the $1000 balance as a debt?

must list all creditors secured and unsecured when possible...if balance is 1000 put 1000...guzzie...ps...if secured with bank, they may freeze your other accounts if you have any with them to get that 1000 owed....guzzie

of course secured card for 2000 they will take the money you had to deposit anyway..

You might want to see if you can shift the funds to another account before filing. As guzzie says they'll seize any assets held with them (savings or checking account) after you file.
