    IRS Deductions

Do trustees go by IRS deductions without question or do they look at your actual expenses?

My IRS for food, clothing ect is $578 a month. I don't think we actually spend that much but we could.

Unfortunately...this area is stacked against the debtor..

If you are below the IRS/Census figures, they use your "actual" expenses.
If you are above the IRS/Census figures, they use the IRS/Census figures.

There is some give and take depending on the true cost of living in your area.

What you need to realize is this...you MUST list your "actual" expenses on your schedules I & J. As the debtor, those forms represent factual statements, and when you are signing the petition, you are affirming, upon penalty of perjury, that the information contianed in those forms is true and accurate.

That's an interesting post. Thank you.
There are many IRS tax deductions that will help taxpayers lower their income taxes owed to the IRS. The more IRS tax deductions a taxpayer can claim on his or her tax return, the lower his or her tax bill.
