Difference between "receiving paperwork" and filing?

I paid the remainder of my balance to file BK and turned in all of my paperwork yesterday. My lawyer's paralegal emailed last night with some questions - I just needed to get some addresses for credit card companies even though I had the collection addresses already. Anyway, she said that 'til she gets that info she won't set me up for the credit counseling. Well, I emailed it all to her today and then called the office to talk to her and the recep told me she was out to lunch and would call back later. Never heard back from her today. The office closes this Friday and Monday for Labor Day Weekend, so tomorrow is the last day of the week that she can set me up for the credit counseling and I'm not sure if she has anymore questions or not.

I'd posted earlier today about having a judgment made against me, which was made on 8/3. The paper from the court said that I had 30 days to do something about it and that expires on 9/3, Labor Day. My BK will NOT be filed before then even though my paperwork is all turned in.

What do I do? Do I file something like a letter or whatever with the court? I'm just so fearful that something bad'll happen b/c I didn't file before the 30 days was up - but the paperwork is into my lawyer. Just not filed yet. Does that make a difference?? That's why I called my paralegal today, but she didn't return my call. I'm so worried.

get on her about the credit counseling so you can get the certificate so you can get your case filed....don't worry....even if they serve you after the 30 days the bk will stop the judgement cold....your lawer will know how to handle the judgement.....hope for you they stop dragging their feet!!!!!! good luck
