Just checked Pacer and we are discharged as of today. Its been 15 long months in chapter 13. I am so excited, now we can have our new beginning and can breath easier... This site has been a great asset. Thank You!!!!!!!!!

Hi...guess what??? I'm just starting...paying my filing fees on Tuesday. Any words of wisdom? Did you pay 100%. I don't think our attorney has plans for us to do so but I truly don't want to be in this for 5 years. Our debt totals $37,000 (mostly credit cards and and a couple of loans) and we plan to keep the house (our mortgage is current and our car note is current). I have no idea what our monthly payment will be yet. I am very happy for you! -

Yes we were 100% that was supposed to be for 5 years, but since only 2 creditors filed proof of claims and we had $42,000 in claims not to file their proof we finished up in 15 months.
We paid $1020. per month that was payroll deduct straight to the trustee.
Hang in there and make sure you have a very well informed lawyer. We did and it made all the difference.
You will be so relieved to get the process started. And the creditors off your back.

Last payment to creditors was June 1., so it did take the 3 months after the last payment was made(like my lawyer said it would).
