    Closing?

I was discharged in mid June of this year, but for some reason I haven't received a closing letter yet. I know the courts vary on when they send these out, but what could be taking so long? Do you think they are waiting out the full 180 days? Based on some of the things I've read at this site, I find this very odd. Any ideas, speculations? Thanks.

If you haven't already...please read this post

Was your case designated and asset case. Has the trustee requested you turnover your tax return when you file your taxes for 2007?

Ahh, I was looking for that post. I was wondering where that got buried....LOL! Anyways, I sifted trough annamollie's posts (http://www.bkforum.com/showpost.php?p=84674&postcount=5) and the case was a No Asset.

      Discharged - 02/16/2006

Thanks for the link, HHM. As BB said, it was a no asset case. Nothing was requested by the trustee other than proof that my name isn't on the deed to the house. I know I have nothing to worry about now. My dh and I were just a bit curious.

If you have been discharged and the trustee filed their request to be released (check PACER for that entry), then you can make a friendly phone call to the BK court clerk and inquire why the case has not closed.

Good advice. I'll do that. Thank you again, HHM.

I also wanted to thank you and everyone else here who have been such a great help throughout this process. If not for you and the others, I don't know how I could've gotten through this without pulling my hair out. LOL! Our imaginations can definitely be worse than reality at times. Thanks to this site and all the wonderful information you provide, I knew exactly what to expect.
